How to Use:
Green/yellow split peas are green peas that have had their outer husk removed & split in half. They have a mild earthy flavour and do not need to be rehydrated overnight.
Rinse split peas, checking for any impurities or residue. Place in a pot with other ingredients of your choice for a soup or stew, and bring to a simmer. Cover loosely and cook until peas are tender; approximately 30-40mins. Check occasionally to make sure water has not completely evaporated.
