Split Green Peas are a wholesome little legume that make for an easy to cook, tasty addition to your staple pantry. They don’t need soaking and are packed with healthy soluble fibre to boost your heart and digestive health while making you feel so comfortably satisfied.

Once cooked, they have a mild earthy flavour and soft texture making it similar to lentils in versatility and nourishment. Great when added to soups, rice mixes and stews.

Preparation

  • 1 part split peas to 2 parts water
  • Bring to the boil and simmer covered for about 30-60 minutes until tender
  • Although unnecessary, you can soak your peas overnight to reduce cooking time by ±30min
