Spiced Chai derives from “Masala Chai” meaning “Spiced Tea.” It finds its origins in the Indian Ayurvedic medical system. It is one of the most widely consumed teas in India; found in every hidden corner and served by a “Chaiwala”. This Chai is a blend of Ceylon Black Tea, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves, Black Pepper, Ginger.

Spicy, deep, mellow, sweet and robust.

Traditionally Spiced Chai, authentically known as Masala Chai (Spiced Tea) uses a black tea blended with spices as an Ayurvedic remedy, adjusting it to suit each persons unique constitution. It is common for each family to have their own unique recipe.

It is traditionally brewed by boiling the tea leaves, spices, milk and sugar on a stove.


Directions of use: 1 level tsp per 200ml water. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve with milk, honey or sugar.
