Couscous is produced from durum wheat. This hard wheat is milled to remove the bran and germ. The remaining endosperm, known as semolina, is crushed and then processed with water and flour before being sieved to form couscous.

Information
Ingredients: Durum Wheat Semolina
Uses:
Couscous is very easy and fast to prepare. Simply add 1 cup of couscous to 1 cup of boiled water or stock. Water can be lightly salted to taste. Leave couscous to swell, covered for 5-7 minutes. Fluff with a fork and add a little butter or oil and desired spices. In general, couscous can be used as a substitute for rice and pasta in any recipe, absorbing up its surrounding flavours beautifully in meals like curries, soups and stews. It also makes a great filler in summertime salads, providing a lovely creamy contrast to your fresh salad and veggies.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
