Brown rice is a long grain rice that isn’t milled as much as white rice therefore, it retains the bran and germ, making it more nutritious and an excellent source of whole grain.

To cook brown rice either steam, boil. Add rice to boiling water (1:3) and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until tender.
Remove from heat, and leave covered for a further 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
