We have been going on about superfoods this month because a new year brings a new set of goals or those you wanted to add to and your overall mental and physical health should be right up there.
One of the ‘newer’ superfoods to hit this list is Moringa Powder , which is touted for its high concentration of antioxidants, and its ability to lower blood sugar, improve heart health, and reduce inflammation, easy to see why its often referred to as the most nutrient dense plant on the planet.
It contains all essential amino acids, and is rich in vitamins, minerals, omega oils, and antioxidants too. Moringa & Pistachio Oats
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla paste
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tsp moringa powder
In a small pot, bring the almond milk + water to a boil and add oats. Turn down to a simmer and add the chia seeds + vanilla + moringa. Allow to cook with the lid on for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Top with toasted coconut + pistachios + golden berries.
