It’s tangy, it’s tasty and worth every mouthful. The chickpea pattie is spiced to perfection with cumin and the cranberry chutney will become a household sauce from now on – OMG its delish!

Ingredients
Cranberry Chutney
- 1 Very Small Red Onion
- 2 tsp Grated Ginger
- 1/2 Cup Cranberries
- 1 tsp Medium Curry Pwder
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 3 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/2 Cup Water More if needed
- Salt To taste
Chickpea Patties
- 1 1/2 Cups Chickpeas Soaked and cooked until soft
- 1/2 Small onion
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Coriander
- 1/2 Cup Chickpea Flour
Instructions
To Make the Cranberry Chutney
- In a pot over a medium heat, fry up the finely chopped red onion and ginger and sauté until a little browned. Add in the spices and cranberries and cook for a few minutes. Then add in the balsamic, salt and water and turn down the heat and cook down until it forms a lovely thick chutney.
To Make the Patties
- Place all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. Divide into 4 and shape into patties and lightly fry in a little oil over a medium heat.
- Fill your burger buns with some mayonnaise, some crunchy leaves, cucumber and your patty and the beautiful sweet and tangy cranberry chutney
