 KNOTTED DINNER ROLLS

DIFFICULTY: EASY       PREP TIME: 3 HRS      COOKING TIME: 30 MIN

INGREDIENTS:

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a bowl of a mixer with a dough hook, put flour, yeast, milk, sugar, oil, 2 eggs and salt and knead for 10-12 minutes until soft dough forms.
  2. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured work surface and form a ball shape.
  3. Put the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover and let rise at room temperature for about an hour or until it doubles in volume.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and divide into 12-15 pieces.
  5. Create a long roll from each part of the dough and then wrap it around itself, creating a knot.
  6. Place the rolls on a baking paper-lined oven tray.
  7. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes or until the rolls almost doubled their volume.
  8. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  9. Gently brush the rolls with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
  11. Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
