With the New Year really kicking into gear and work running full steam ahead, we often don’t have time to eat well at work. We often end up snacking on the things that do nothing for us and provide us with minimal nutrition, no energy and even more cravings than before.

If you need a little something that you can prep ahead of time and take to work for the week, when you really need that extra boost of energy or that little sweet treat, with all the right things packed inside:  This little number is just for you!

Our Go-To is this Back-To-Work Bliss Ball Recipe.

These chocolate, coconut energy balls are delicious, fudgy and packed with healthy fats. They are the perfect work snack or that extra energy boost to help you power through 2019.

Minimal prep time involved and only a handful of ingredients too – which we love.

Back-To-Work Bliss Balls

What you’ll need:

200grams Pitted Dates

2 Tbsp Organic Shredded Coconut

¼ Cup Pecans

¼ Cup Sliced almonds

2 Tbsp Raw Cacao powder

2 Tbsp Chia Seeds

Pinch of salt

Desiccated coconut for rolling

Take your dates and place them in a bowl, pour boiling water to cover them and let them soak for 10-15 minutes. Drain well and set aside the date syrup for later.

Once drained place all the ingredients into your food processor, add a tablespoon of the date syrup and blend until it forms a dough. Add another tablespoon of the date syrup if required.

Once fully blended, take a spoonful and roll in the palm of your hands to form perfect balls. Roll through the desiccated coconut and place in an airtight container and place in the fridge for an hour.

* Want to add that extra “Super” punch – Try rolling them in Hemp Hearts or for the most decadent treat; you could even dip them in melted chocolate.

Pack them for work and enjoy.

Try this recipe at home and let us know how it turned out – we love to see your creations.
